He thinks her essays better because they are so much more personal and the voice is so relaxed. Perhaps it's their very name--essay--to try--that already relieves us of some of the pressure. I also find that making myself write once a week means that often disparate things get thrown together and I have to be playful in order to make a whole. I hope I don't lose this sense of serendipity when I try to write more formal examples.Kathleen Wallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02600340942046394429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268764116138678864.post-19491442459584210772013-04-15T06:56:13.498-06:002013-04-15T06:56:13.498-06:00That's so kind, Bernadette. They allow us a more leisurely voice somehow -- the one we use in conversation with people who are willing to follow us along unexpected paths where we encounter plants, interesting companions, music, quirks of geography and geology and history, and yes, even quilts.theresahttp://www.theresakishkan.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7268764116138678864.post-47484092304969613452013-04-14T19:02:06.182-06:002013-04-14T19:02:06.182-06:00I think you could work up a very interesting nonfi...I think you could work up a very interesting nonfiction collection based on your blogposts!

And yay for Sage Hill!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
